Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the level of organizational climate perceived and job performance among the staff of Pahang Social Welfare Department. It was also
conducted to determine the nature of relationship between organizational climate perceptions and job performance among the staff. A total of 96 respondents consisting
of all scheme of services were selected. This study used structured questionnaire comprising 47 questions as a research instrument. The data collected were analyzed
using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 12.0. software program. Statistical analysis techniques such as t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation test were
used to test 6 hypotheses. The findings showed that the respondents perceived the level of organizational climate and job performance as; moderate. Result also showed that
there was no significant difference in organizational climate perceived based on demographic characteristics such as age, gender, marital status, education level and
length of service. It also found that there was no relationship between organizational climate perceived and job performance. Based on this study, implications and
recommendations were suggested to enhance the level of organizational climate and job performance at Pahang Social Welfare Department.
